A canvas log holder is an easy way to bring firewood into your home to use in the fireplace. An inside wood log holder is an excellent way to manage keeping wood next to the fireplace. Fire log holders come in many different designs. They do a simple job of setting and holding wood. A log holder carrier does a double job, holding and carrying of the wood. This make the job of getting wood from the outside to the inside a breeze. No more getting an armload and trying to get in the back door. Normally made of a canvas or leather material these are very durable. The carrier is constructed with two handles to increase the ease of movement of the load of wood. The interior log holder is a brace to hold the carrier once inside.
There are at least ten to a dozen different styles and configurations of the carrier log holder combinations. The canvas log holders are relatively inexpensive to well over a hundred dollars. All will do the job just fine. Some of the lesser cost variety is a simple bent metal tube frame with differing finishes. Polished brass, chrome and antiqued finish are typically what are available. The higher dollar versions come in wrought iron. These are decorative types for making a statement beyond being utilitarian. They do the job just the same as the less expensive ones; they just look better while doing it. The log racks in cast iron are decorated with metal work of twisting and curling the iron when formed to have a better visual appeal. The one rack considered to be best is a real canvas constructed open bag in the shape of a rectangle box, open on the top for the logs to go into to be carried into the home.
When using an inside the house log firewood rack, there are a couple of other things to keep in mind. Placing wood inside the home does come with a couple of risks. The threat of unwelcome visitors is increased to the home owner. Bugs and spiders love wood in the log firewood rack outside. Make sure to leave them outside.
Have a happy warm home this winter.
